Are you game for a night on the tiles? Letters.

I WAS pleased to see the article 'Pubs looking for the domino effect' (August 31).

I am the Secretary of the Coventry Domino Association which is a body made up from members of various domino leagues who play in the Coventry area.

This association was set up to promote the game, and in the case of a Kenilworth league, cribbage as well.

As a body we have watched over the years as 'traditional' pubs have either closed down or been refurbished and the old pub games have been slowly forced out.

Many younger people may look on these pub games as for the older generation, but this can be far from the truth, there are men and women of all ages currently playing in our leagues.

They enjoy the camaraderie that goes with the games and the opportunity to visit other pubs and clubs and meet new people. Dominoes is also a skilful game, it takes a keen eye and a good memor y.

If anyone is interested in taking up the game, but perhaps are not sure how to go about it, please contact me on 07765007417 and I will gladly put them in touch with other people who will help.
