Are you a blooming great community gardener?

GARDENERS in Birmingham who volunteer to help their community are being urged to take part in a competition.

Organisers of BBC Gardeners' World Live, which is set to be staged at the city's National Exhibition Centre from June 12 to 16, are looking for inspirational community gardening projects.

Winners, to be chosen by the public, will bag hundreds of pounds of gardening products.

Andrea Van Sittart, spokesman for the Royal Horticultural Society, said: "We know there are some really inspiring community gardeners and it's great to be focusing on the team and the people who work to transform their communities."
