Are drugs tainting eSports?

Are eSports players using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs)? Many speculate that eSports are using the drugs -- mainly central nervous system stimulants such as Adderall and Ritalin, commonly prescribed for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). 'Absolutely they do (abuse those stimulants).

There was a massive jump in skill level around season three, even among players who had been playing for years hellip; You can see the players shaking before every match, it's pretty obvious they're not all just nervous every single game,' @AlaLalaB said on Reddit. There have been allegations of drug use and illegal gambling among the players.

'Some EU guy was on main stage and took so much addy (nickname for adderall) he threw up on stage,' @LoveKina commented. Because Riot Games doe not drug-test players, it is possible that many players abuse such stimulants.

It is well known that most players at least resort to energy drinks, such as Red Bull and Monster .
