Archer's lunch cop `innocent'.
THE policewoman in the Jeffrey Archer lunch row protested her innocence yesterday.
Constable Karen Brook, 36, and prison officer Paul Hocking joined Archer in an Italian restaurant at Lincoln while he was on day release from North Sea Camp open prison.
Archer was moved to Lincoln jail, Mr Hocking quit and PC Brook faces a disciplinary hearing.
But the divorced mum-of-two, on sick leave with stress at her home in Welton, Lincs, said: "I've done nothing wrong."
Her dad Eric Hobson, of Selby, North Yorks, said suggestions that she was having an affair with Mr Hocking were "totally untrue. It has been character assassination and we're angry and disgusted.
"Through her work she got to know Paul Hocking as a friend. She told us he invited her for lunch but she had no idea Archer was going to be there.
"With a prison officer there she thought everything was above board."
Mum Ruth said: "She's been made a scapegoat."
