Aragon doubles space with office move.

Leading interior construction firm Aragon Construction is acting as its own client, as the company transforms the entire ninth floor at Metropolitan Tower, 142 West 57th Street, for its new corporate offices.

The company has outgrown its current office at 49 West 27th Street and will be moving into more than double the space, having leased 12,213 s/f.

Working together with senior partner Michel Fiechter, studio director Stephen Yavrouian and project designer Momoko Sakae of TPG, Aragon's new office will be a showcase for potential clients to come and see some of the high quality work that is the firm's hallmark.

A tour through the office will demonstrate different options accommodating a range of budgets. Flooring types will vary, including concrete, wood, carpet and stone; walls and doors of different materials, and styles such as wood, glass, composite walls, with a wide array of finishes will be located throughout the space. The open landscape furnishings in the new office space will be from Knoll represented by Greg Burke's Lane Office.

Aragon is completely altering the entire ninth floor. The 78-story, black glass Metropolitan Tower was built in 1986 and is owned and managed by L&L Acquisitions. It features 18 stories of commercial office space at 259,808 s/f, 3,241 s/f of street level retail and 49 stories of condominiums.

Aragon Construction, represented by Joe Fabrizi of Cushman & Wakefield, signed a six-year lease for its new office space after a search of more than a year. "Aragon is building a showcase premise, and was very selective in what it wanted to commit to for a new office." said Fabrizi. "The firm chose The Metropolitan Tower office because of the location and quality of the building--it is a Class A, Tier 1 property in the heart of Midtown."
