Arab league condemns terrorist attack in Tunisia.
TUNIS (TAP) - The Arab League firmly condemned the terrorist attack against a presidential guard bus resulting in deaths and injuries.
Arab League Secretary-General Nabil al-Arabi asserted the organisation's entire solidarity with Tunisia in its fight against terrorism. This scourge, he said, tries to undermine the Tunisian model in matters of peaceful democratic transition, stability recovery and economic relaunch.
Al-Arabi condemned this coward terrorist attack, pointing out the imperative to provide all the necessary support to the Tunisian Government and back up its efforts to counter terrorism.
He emphasised the need to increase Arab and international efforts to get rid of this serious scourge and dry up its sources.
For his part, Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council denounced the terrorist attack, saying that this "barbarian" and "despicable" act target Tunisia's security and stability and undermines the climate of progress and prosperity, according to the council statement published, Wednesday.
The council also affirms entire solidarity with Tunisia in its fight against terrorism and extremism.
