Arab celebrities condemn ISIS attacks on Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

Arab stars condemned the explosive events rocking the region this week, after Iraq and Saudi Arabia were rocked by suicide bombings which ISIS claimed responsibility for.

Celebrities including Emirati singer Ahlam, Lebanese actress Cyrine Abdelnour, Lebanese fashion designer Dalida Ayach and Syrian actor Bassem Yakhour took to social media to pay their condolences to victims of the attacks.

The Iraqi capital Baghdad witnessed what CNN called as "the deadliest attack in years," after a suicide truck bomb ripped through the city, killing over 215 people.

" The bombing early Sunday in a busy shopping district was the deadliest single attack in Iraq's war-weary capital in years, killing at least 215 people, Mohamed al-Rubaye‎, deputy head of the security committee of the Baghdad Provincial Council, said Monday on Afaq TV," reported CNN.

Baghdad witnessed a second bombing on the same day at an outdoor market in the Shaab neighborhood of southeastern Baghdad, which killed one person and wounded five others.

As for Saudi Arabia, two Saudi cities were struck by a wave of suicide bombings over a 24-hour period ending Monday. One of the attacks occured near the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah. Another was near a Shiite mosque in Qatif and the last in Medina, the holy city, where four people were killed.

The attacks come just a short few days before the Eid El-Fitr holiday, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
