Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas, is being awarded a $291,005,074 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order contract for approximately 18,878 staff-months to provide engineering, research, development, and test and evaluation capabilities in the areas of ocean acoustics, electromagnetic propagation, high frequency sonar, under ice and ocean bottom navigation and intelligence collection, signal and information processing and displays and command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence, as applied to information warfare, modeling and simulation, synthetic forces testing, electromagnetic instrumentation and innovative computer and software development. These capabilities have been established and maintained at Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas, and are determined essential to the Navy's needs. Work will be performed in Austin, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Augus! t 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-D-6600). Sippican Inc., Marion, Mass., is being awarded a $5,337,030 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to perform software, hardware, computer and system engineering tasks as design agent for the MK 53 Decoy Launching Systems. Work will be performed in Marion, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-01-D-3033).
