Apple Releases New iOS 10.1 Beta To Public Testers.

Just three weeks after launching iOS 10 to the general public and a day after seeding the (http://www.ibtimes.com/apple-releases-new-ios-101-beta-portrait-mode-bug-fixes-under-hood-improvements-2426514) second iOS 10.1 beta to developers , Apple is now rolling out the latest beta build to public beta testers ahead of the imminent final release. Though details about the new beta is scarce as of writing, it is expected to clean up more bugs found in the first iOS 10.1 beta.

According to (http://www.macrumors.com/2016/10/05/apple-seeds-ios-10-1-public-beta-2/) MacRumors , Apple made the second iOS 10.1 beta available to public beta testers, who can now download it over-the-air, this Wednesday. The beta testers who are receiving the OTA beta update are only those who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program.

For interested owners of iOS devices, they can still join the beta testing program via its (http://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/) official site . Signing up would not only give them access to the new iOS 10 betas, it would also let them in on the (http://www.ibtimes.com/apple-rolls-out-third-macos-sierra-10121-public-beta-testers-ahead-official-release-2426507) latest macOS Sierra betas . However, interested testers should know that beta versions are typically unstable and rife with bugs, so having a secondary device to be used solely for beta testing is advised.

Apple has yet to reveal the exact date when it is rolling out the official iOS 10.1 update, but (http://appleinsider.com/articles/16/10/05/apple-issues-second-public-beta-of-ios-101) AppleInsider is claiming that with the pacing of beta releases at the moment, consumers should expect the iOS 10.1 update to arrive by the end of October.

The iOS 10.1 update is being anticipated by many iPhone owners since it is going to bring the much talked about Portrait mode, which simulates the bokeh effect, to the iPhone 7 Plus. During its Sept. 7 event, Apple promised that this advanced smartphone photography feature is going to arrive to the phablet via a (http://www.ibtimes.com/ios-10-apples-biggest-release-ever-iphone-ipad-ipod-touch-here-whats-new-2415606) major software update that's slated for release this fall.

Aside from the new Portrait mode, iOS 10.1 is also expected to come with interface tweaks, improvements on certain apps and features as well as fixes for bugs and other maintenance issues.
