Hard disk partition management solutions provider Aomei Technology Co Ltd announced on Monday the release of Partition Assistant 4.0, an all-in-one partition manager software and hard disk management toolkit.
The company said that the new version introduces "Aomei Partition 3+2 Concept", that is three innovations, including merge non-contiguous unallocated space to partition, allocate free space from one partition to another and create more partitions even without unallocated space, as well as the freeware Partition Assistant Home Edition, which allows commercial use, and Partition Assistant Lite Edition, which supports Windows Server operating systems.
The new release also keeps all the features of the previous version, including resize/move, create, delete, format partition, copy disk and partition and wipe data.
In addition to "Aomei Partition 3+2 Concept", the latest version adds new features including: merge two partitions without data loss; split one big partition into two or more; convert primary partition to logical and vice versa; support for GPT disk up to 4TB and USB flash drive; as well as compatibility with Windows 8 Developer Preview, Windows Home Server 2011 and Windows Small Business Server 2011.
