Antonio Conte blasts "little man" Jose Mourinho as Chelsea boss says he can't wait to meet Manchester United rival "face to face"; The Blues boss reacted after his Red Devils counterpart took a swipe by claiming he will never be suspended for match-fixing.

ChelseamanagerAntonio Contehas labelled Jose Mourinho a "little man" after the Manchester United boss insulted him.

The Portuguese lashed out at his Italian rival by claiming he will never be suspended for match fixing.

Conte was cleared of any wrongdoing in a match-fixing scandal in Italy in 2011 whilst with Siena, but only after serving a four-month ban.

After the Blues were held by Norwich in the third round of the FA Cup, Conte swiftly responded to Mourinho's comments by dismissing him as merely a "little man."

"It's really difficult to answer these comments, when a person has the target to offend, you are a little man,"Conte told BT Sport.

"You all know him very well in the past, he's always the same.

"This is the way, it's not a surprise. When you insult a man or another person, you are a little man and I think he is a little man.

"The life will go on. For sure there is a good opportunity when we play Manchester United.

"I repeat, I don't like to speak to the other coaches."

The pair will resume their rivalry on February 25 when the Red Devils host the champions at Old Trafford, five days after Conte's side take on Barcelona in the Champions League last 16.
