Anti-military spending demonstration.

A SILENT protest against military spending takes place in Coventry today.

The demonstration will be held outside the General Dynamics factory in Earlplace Business Park on Fletchamstead Highway from 4-6pm to highlight fears about spending on weaponry.

The protest is organised by the Coventry RC Deanery Justice and Peace Group.

It will be followed by a public meeting on Thursday called Resisting the Spread of War which takes place at Central Methodist Hall, Warwick Lane, city centre, starting at 7.30pm.

Speakers include Rafeef Ziadah, senior campaigns officer for War on Want, and Chris Nineham, of the Stop the War Coalition national executive.
