Anti-drug implant for Pete.
SINGER Pete Doherty will have an implant fitted to help him kick his drug habit, he told a court yesterday.
The Baby shambles star hopes to get the opiate-suppressing implant within the next two weeks.
Doherty, 27, the on-off boyfriend of model Kate Moss, represented himself at the latest review of his treatment programme for crack cocaine and heroin addiction.
Wearing his trademark black suit and trilby, he looked dishevelled when he turned up at Thames magistrates' court, East London two hours late.
District judge Jane McIvor said while doctors were impressed with his progress she was still waiting for his first negative test result. Doherty said: "Maybe next time."
The judge recommended his drug tests be reduced from twice to once a week.
Doherty was given a community order in April with two years supervision and 18 months drug rehabilitation after admitting possessing drugs.
