Anti dengue virus spray in Gakhar plaza basement demanded.

RAWALPINDI -- Citizens have voiced concern over Gakhar plaza basement fast turning into breeding ground for mosquitoes carrying dengue virus due to lack of spray.

In the basement no arrangement has been made for pumping out standing water, said a group of traders. This water enters therein in rainy season and invites mosquitoes to buzz and multiply their breeding owing to heedlessness being shown by the municipal administration and health department in conducting spray, they added.

We have lodged complaints with the respective authorities but our voice seems to have fallen on deaf ears, said Ghulam Ali a trader.

My child caught malaria as he accompanied me during my visit to basement for shopping, said a lady teacher.

The citizens demanded immediate arrangements for conducing anti dengue virus spray in the basement otherwise they will be forced to hold protest rallies.
