Anthrenus (Anthrenops) coloratus Reitter, 1881 (Coleoptera: Dermestidae), New Record for Pakistan.

The family Dermestidae contains about 1460 species and subspecies worldwide, includes 27 species from Pakistan (Hashmi and Tashfeen, 1992; Hava, 2007; Hava and Ahmed, 2012). The genus Anthrenus Geoffroy, 1762 comprises 216 species worldwide, including 10 species known from Pakistan (Hava, 2003, 2007; Herrmann and Hava, 2009; Hashmi and Tashfeen, 1992). In July 2012, first author collected Anthrenus (Anthrenops) coloratus Reitter, 1881 from Thar Desert Sindh, which represents a new country record. One male specimen was collected from Thar Desert. The species is known from Europe, Canary Is., Turkey, Algeria, Egypt, Eritrea, Guinea, Morocco, Namibia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia, USA, Afghanistan, India, Israel, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates and Yemen (Zhantiev, 1976; Hava, 2003, 2007; Hava and Kadej, 2009).
