Anthrax disease among residents of Kok-Tash not confirmed.

The anthrax among residents of Kok-Tash village, Jalal-Abad region, was not confirmed.

Earlier, the quarantine was announced in Kok-Tash village of Jalal-Abad region due to the anthrax.

On January 24, residents slaughtered a cow belonging to one of their co-villagers. The meat was distributed to the residents of 36 houses in the village.7 people were sent to local hospital on February 6.

The meat was seized and sent for analysis to a laboratory in Nooken area.

The special posts were installed in the village. People who have had contact with the infected villagers, get medication.

"Veterinarians checked 307 sheep, 156 cows, 2 horses, 4 dogs, and 4 donkeys. In addition, 36 farms were desinfected. To date, all livestock is under the supervision of a veterinarian," the Ministry said.
