Anthem in New York.

ROYAL ANTHEM has left Henry Cecil's stable for his new career in America.

The son of Theatrical, who is owned by Prince Ahmed Salman's Thoroughbred Corporation, flew out to New York City at the weekend to join his new trainer Bill Mott.

A programme has yet to be worked out for Royal Anthem, who put up one of the performances of the season in the Juddmonte at York in August, but later flopped behind Daylami in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown last month.

Races like the Breeders' Cup Classic, the Japan Cup and the Dubai World Cup could be on the agenda, although much will depend on how the colt acclimatises over the next few weeks after his arrival at Mott's barn.
