Another weekend of success for Sadie.

SADIE Hope, from Stockton, won the British Judo Championship on Sunday in the U36 kg category.

Sadie, 11, and her older brother and sister started judo last January at Thornaby Pavilion judo club.

In May this year Sadie won gold fending off fierce competition in Kendal; in June, she took part in the Kent international with competitors from Europe; in July the North-east graded competition; in September, the North-east grand prix; and now the British championship in Norfolk.

Her brother Aiden, 12, and sister Olivia, 15, have medals also in all of the above events.

All three children attend St Bede's School and Olivia is targeting medals in her upcoming British Championship being held in Sheffield in December.

Joe Glynn is their judo coach and all three represent Thornaby judo club when competing, but also train at Middlesbrough judo club.
