Another reason for Jezza to shut his trap; KAT'S WHISPERS Kat Keogh gets her claws into celebrity culture.

WITH his beloved uniform of pressed jeans and jacket, he's a walking, talking middle-aged cliche. But not content with the title of king of the caustic put-down, Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson has a new accolade to sit alongside the often-used descriptions of arrogant, smarmy and git.

The motormouth presenter has now been handed the auspicious honour of having the worst celebrity teeth in the UK.

His tombstone-sized gnashers, which appear to be the exact shade of sweetcorn, topped a national poll to find out which star has the mankiest mouth.

The 52-year-old took poll position ahead of BBC presenter Andrew Marr, and brainbox thespian Stephen Fry, who both wear their stained smiles with pride.

Pop svengali Simon Cowell was named the celeb with the most shocking cosmetic smile, thanks to teggies so bright he could light the whole of the M6 just by opening his mouth.

But rather than check in to the latest cut-price teeth whitening clinic, I'd wager his new-found title won't matter one jot to dear old Jeremy.

In fact, I bet the famous chain smoker lit another fag in celebration at the news.

After all, when your idea of rocking a smart casual look involves styling your hair like a Brillo pad and wearing Levi's which were last in vogue back in the late 1980s, who cares about your teeth?
