Another life for Copy Cat.

IT is with great delight - and considerable relief - that we can report we got it wrong with one of our stories last week.

We prematurely wrote the obituary of The Copy Cat bar, a favourite watering hole for generations of Sunday Mail staff. The Clydeside pub was due to close its doors for the last time last Monday.

But even as the gantry was being cleared, "The Cat" was given an 11th hour reprieve by Punch Taverns and Clydeport.

Mine host Anna Houston said last night: "It's not last orders yet, thankfully."

And so say all of us!
