Another Jacko's win Andy.
ANDY CAIRNS won Jacko's Memorial tournament at the Griffin Bowling Club for the third time in his career.
Scoring a fourth win of this winter season at the Colne Valley venue, Cairns defeated Gary Siswick 21-17 in the showpiece sponsored by Liam Fallas - taking home the winner's cheque from a prize pot of PS420.
Competition ran from sunlight to sunset on a very tricky surface and featured a trio of second-round matches going the whole way.
When it came to the semi-finals, it was Crosland Moor v Thongsbridge in both, with Siswick taking on Jack Dyson and Terry Brook facing Cairns.
Both Crosland Moor players raced into early leads and Siswick maintained his form to record a fine 21-4 victory over Dyson.
Brook was 6-0 up against Cairns, but the eventual winner showed his class to run out a 21-14 victor.
In the final, with light fading, Cairns led 10-4 before Siswick hit back to go in front.
Cairns regained control, however, and went to win 21-17.
The club thanked Liam Fallas for his generous backing of the event.
