Annual Heritage Festival to kick off on Wednesday.

04 : 21 PM - 24/04/2018 Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 26th edition of the Annual Heritage Festival will kick off tomorrow Wednesday at its new location in the special functions tent near Arad Fort and its associated heritage village. The event, held under the theme "Muharraq Memory", will continue from April 25 to May 5 and will feature a rich programme by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) depicting Bahrain's folkloric heritage that characterises Muharraq. Visitors will have an insight into landmark phases in the history of the island by having a taste of a wide range of cultural, literary, artistic, sport and heritage programmes. This year's festival is part of BACA's programme to celebrate Muharraq as "Capital of Islamic Culture 2018". A O Q BNA 1314 GMT 2018/04/24
