Announcing the 21st year of the Gatorade[R] national High School Player of the year.

For 20 years, the Gatorade High School Player of the Year Awards have been the most sought-after prizes in interscholastic sports. We are proud to be entering our third decade, and again, we invite you, the nation's coaches and athletic directors-the most knowledgeable judges of high school talent-to help us select the right student-athletes: kids who excel both on the field and in the classroom, for this prestigious honor.

All you have to do is fill out the accompanying ballot or log onto and help identify the 500 top state and 10 national players of the year in football, girls volleyball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, base-ball, softball and boys and girls track & field.

Then in July 2006, a panel of 50 top sportswriters and commentators will select the Male and Female Gatorade High School Athletes of the Year from among the 10 individual Player of the Year winners, based on their individual ability, team play, leadership ability, contributions to their team's success, and contributions to their sport. The winners will be announced just prior to July's ESPY Awards.
