Announcing new ESI Contracting Award.
Excellence in the contracting profession--especially at a time when contractors are responsible for developing new relationships on an increasingly interconnected global front--should never be underestimated or taken for granted.
NCMA's learning partner and Contract Management Learning Center (CMLC) charter member, ESI International, is pleased to announce the ESI International Contracting Award, to honor excellence in the field. The award recognizes that government agencies and companies are increasingly reliant on contracting to accomplish their mission or to grow their business. This $5,000 cash prize will be awarded to a contracting professional who has demonstrated a significant contribution to acquisition operations or policy.
Contributions to acquisition operations may include extraordinary business leadership or team participation in the design, development, or execution of an acquisition program, contract, or project that furthers an agency or company's mission. Contributions to acquisition policy may include the development of a management policy, regulation, data system, or other task that significantly enhances the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of an agency or company's acquisition system.
"ESI has been a part of the contracting community for 25 years," says Larry Seeley, president of ESI. "The public and private sectors are filled with talented professionals dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to help their organizations succeed. We're pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the achievements of the top performers in the field."
To be eligible for the ESI International Contracting Award, candidates must
* be at least 21 years of age,
* have at least four years of contracting experience, and
* have made a significant contribution to acquisition operation or policy within 18 months of the due date for nominations.
