Anna (Christo) Thanas.

SOUTHBRIDGE Anna (Christo) Thanas of Southbridge, died Friday, in Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband was the late Dhimitri Thanas, who died in 1967.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Gloria and her husband William Earls of Middletown, CT, Linda and her husband Robert Plouffe of Southbridge; her grandchildren, Tara (Earls) Larrison and her husband Christopher of Champaign, IL, Matthew Earls and his wife Amy of Guilford, CT, Erica (Plouffe) Lazure and her husband Timothy of Greenville, NC, and Daniel Plouffe and his wife Jennifer of Pomfret, CT; and 3 great-grandchildren, Jillian Plouffe and Max and Claudia Larrison; and a brother, K. George Christo of Southbridge.

Mrs. Thanas was born in Sterling, MA, daughter of Guri and Rina (Christo) Christo and has lived here many years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church. Mrs. Thanas enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, and gardening.

The funeral will be Wed. (Mar. 21) from Sansoucy Funeral Home, 40 Marcy St., Southbridge, with a service at 11AM in St. Nicholas Albanian Orthodox Church, 126 Morris St., Southbridge. A trisagion service will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in OakRidge Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Wed. (Mar.21) from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home.
