Ankara to Expand Military Operation in Aleppo's Afrin.
Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish media sources disclosed that Ankara intends to expand its military operations against the Kurdish fighters as it has dispatched special forces to Afrin in Aleppo province.
"The Turkish police's gendarmerie and special forces arrived in Afrin in Northern Syria via Heseh border crossing in Hatay province and Gol Baba in Kilis province," the Turkish media reported.
They reiterated that the arrival of the Turkish army troops in Afrin is line with new battle in Afrin and with the aim of launching military operations in Afrin's residential areas.
In a relevant development earlier on Monday, at least 8 Turkish soldiers and Ankara-backed militants were killed in the Turkish army's military operations against the Kurds in Afrin in Aleppo province.
The death toll of the Turkish army comes as Ankara and its supported militants have continued its advances against Kurds in Afrin.
The Kurdish sources reported that the Kurdish fighters in their military operations in Jandaris region, targeted Turkish troops with rockets which resulted in the death of over eight Turkish soldiers.
