Anglo American (LSE: AAL), one of the world's largest diversified mining and natural resource groups, has announced asset disposals and management restructuring which indicates a sense of urgency at the company to perform, according to Credit Suisse.

Credit Suisse is expecting new Chairman John Parker to provide the impetus on performance.

According to Credit Suisse, 'Xstrata (XTA.LN) has 6 months before it can rebid, and Anglo will likely show a renewed sense of urgency through this time and will likely pull out all the stops to win shareholders over.'
