Angling: Top pike anglers at Pontyclun.

THE South Wales Region of the Pike Anglers Club has an interesting winter programme of meetings at Pontyclun Athletic Club starting on Wednesday, November 27.

On Tuesday, December 17, West Country piker Peter Gregory will be the guest speaker and on Wednesday, January 22, one of the country's foremost predator anglers Neville Fickling will be speaking.

The evening starts at 7.30pm and is open to non-members.

But this is a good time to join because the pounds 5 regional subscriptions are now due. More information is available from Regional Organiser John Langshaw on 01443 209316.

# Porthcawl's Shaun White fished the coarse lake at Seven Oaks Fishery and landed 11 carp to 8lb, while Aberdare anglers Ray MacMillan and Chris Palmer shared 15 carp to 11lb.

Bridgend's Colin Davies caught roach, rudd and carp for a big bag weighing 60lb.
