Angling: Points race on at city open.
THE Seamaster points race is on again on Sunday at the Newport Sea Anglers Open Championship along the beach from the garden in front of the Old Lighthouse at St Brides.The main sponsors are M11 Mechanical Installations International Ltd and Monolithic Refractories Ltd with prizes of pounds 300, pounds 200 and pounds 100 for the top three anglers, plus other prizes.
Fishing is from 10.45amto 2.15pm.
Book in from 8.30amat Peterstone Fishery or on Saturday at local tackle shops. The weigh-in is also at the fishery with scales closing at 3.15pm.
Cost is pounds 6 (pounds 3 juniors and pensioners), with an optional pounds 2 pool.
This contest will be fished to WFSA and host club rules. The third round of the WFSA East Region Shore League will be from Ogmore by Sea to Porthcawl on May 18 (4-9pm).
