Anger over 'Irish joke' EMAIL ROW.

AN Irish community is furious after a housing officer in England sent an e-mail mocking them.

The email sent by a Sheffield City Council Homes officer claimed to be an Alevel exam from the "Ministry for Education, Ireland".

It featured four questions with answers supposedly given by Irish students. Lib Dem Cllr Frank Taylor, whose father is Irish, received the email and made a complaint.

Sheffield Irish Association spokesman Kevin Meagher said: "It's a safe bet this wouldn't happen with any other minority group." The officer has been disciplined..
