Android 5.1 Lollipop Release Date Is Set For February, New Features Revealed.

The most recent version of Android that is being rolled out to the world is the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update. New reports are claiming that Google will be rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop update as early as February and is expected to come with numerous improvements.

What Will Be The New OS Update Called?

(http://beta.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/android-5-1-arriving-as-soon-as-february--1277482?src=rss&attr=all) TechRadar claims that it tried to get in touch with Google to confirm on Android 5.1. However, the search engine giant declined to comment. With the arrival of Android 5.1, it seems that Google would jumping a full decimal which indicates that it might come out with a new OS name as it has done in the past. Exceptions were seen when the Jelly Bean moniker continued to exist in successive updates like Android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3; and the Eclair moniker which were also seen in successive roll outs like Android 2.0 and 2.1. So, there is a possibility that Google may continue to stick with Lollipop moniker for Android 5.1.

AndroidPit states that the original Android 5.0 Lollipop which arrived in October is a great OS update but it did bring along couple of issues.
