Andrew is heading off to Spain after he gets Great Britain call-up; Athletics.

Kilbarchan AAC's Andrew Murphy is set to reign in Spain following his latest Great Britain call-up.

The pole vaulter is among just 14 multieventers selected for the Indoor Combined Events International, which takes place in Madrid on January 27 and 28.

Full teams have been selected for the senior and junior categories at the competition which pits the British Athletics squad against Czech Republic, France, Poland and Spain.

Murphy is selected among the four athletes called-up to the senior men.

A Scottish Athletics spokesman said: "This is another terrific boost for multi events coaches and groups in Scotland and demonstrates hard work paying off for athletes. Congratulations from scottishathletics to athletes, coaches, families and the clubs involved in their development over the years."

Closer to home, Murphy was in action at the English Athletics Indoor Combined Events Championships in Sheffield over the weekend.

Murphy, who also won a GB Senior vest last summer, took bronze in the Senior competition with a score of 5287.
