Andrew Corporation's Geza Dienes Elected as Fellow of IEEE.

ORLAND PARK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 1998--Geza Dienes, Andrew Corporation's Director of Advanced Antenna Development, has been elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). The technical objectives of the IEEE focus on advancing the theory and practice of electrical, electronic and computer engineering. The citation for Mr. Dienes' fellowship pays tribute to his "contribution to the design and development of broadcast antenna systems."

During his 38 year career with Andrew, Mr. Dienes has been instrumental in creating a number of complete product lines. These include the TRASAR(R) traveling wave antenna line for television transmission; the GUIDELine(R) high power, single mode circular waveguide feeder; and circular waveguide for microwave transmission and antennas for wireless and cellular applications.

Mr Dienes is currently the sole inventor of twelve patented technologies and is co-inventor of a number of others. He is Andrew Corporation's sixth employee to be elected Fellow of the IEEE.

The IEEE is the world's largest technical professional society serving more than 320,000 members in approximately 150 countries. The total number of IEEE fellows as of January 1998 was 5,656.
