Andes from Venezuela launched

Andes beer from Venezuela's oldest brewery, C.A. Cervecera Nacional, is now available in the U.S., Best Brands, Inc., importer, has announced. A traditional pilsner, Andes is the product of a long, cold natural fermentation.

According to the Fairfield, NJ firm, Andes is already available in California, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin and Arizona.

Andes is packaged in an amberglass bottle with an applied color label which features dancing people. The graphics also appear on the six-pack and mother case, the importer reported. Andes is packaged in six-packs of 12-oz. bottles and cases of 24 12-oz. bottles for on-premise accounts.

Lance Collins, president, Best Brands, said support for the import includes dealer incentives and point-of-sale materials, such as table tents, tank-tops, posters and case cards. The promotional materials feature the theme line, "The Beer that Rocks the Andes."
