And the winner is ...

Alcan Packaging, Cumbria, has again walked away triumphant from the EFTA Awards (European Flexographic Technical Association), winning two gold and two silver awards at the 2005 ceremony. The prestigious event, held at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, was attended by the leading figures of the packaging industry and saw Alcan dominate both the 'Medium Web Process' category as well as the newly created "Off the Shelf" category.

Alcan gladly accepted 'Off the Shelf' category Gold award for its Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Potato Crisp packets and the Silver award for its Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Parsnip and Black Pepper Crisp snacks.

Alcan also received both the Gold and the Silver awards for the 'Medium Web Process' category. The company was thrilled to be presented with the Gold award for its work on the Anton Berg Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts pack and the Silver award in the same category for Tesco's Finest Seasonal Honey Glazed Gammon and Wholegrain Mustard flavour Hand Cooked Crisp Snacks.
