Analysis notebook; Eyecatching performances noted by our expert race analysts.

Moorland Boy Trainer Jamie Osborne Bath, Saturday, June 12 Made good late headway over a trip short of what will prove to be his best. He is certainly one to keep an eye out for in nurseries. MB Bohemian Melody Marco Botti Sandown, Saturday, June 12 Moved into a good position at the right time, but edged left and right and his jockey was quick to ease him once headed. It was reported his jockey stopped riding due to a shooting pain in his legs. There is more to come from him. DT Nazreef Hughie Morrison Sandown, Saturday, June 12 Was chasing a hat-trick on his first outing on turf having gained his previous victories on Fibresand. Caught flat-footed, he edged left once under pressure but kept finding and can certainly be given another chance. DT Side Glance Andrew Balding York, Saturday, June 12 Probably needs 7f, but this race was run at such a good gallop that it brought his stamina in to play. He remains capable of better when returned to a longer trip. SE One Way Or Another Jeremy Gask Doncaster, Sunday, June 13 This ex-Australian handicapper was having his first start at the track since a luckless run over course and distance on his comeback. Still on the bridle at the furlong marker, his rider only got serious with him when the race was, in effect, over but, in fairness, he didn't look to get the best of passages. He is better than he showed here and there should be one of these races in him. DO High Ambition Richard Fahey Thirsk, Tuesday, June 15 Was held up early but didn't give away anything like as much ground as he had on his reappearance. He may have gone even closer to winning this had he not been hampered when still in with every chance two furlongs from home and he is one to watch out for next time.
