Anais and Mirabelle Lee Named as the Black Cotton Foundation's 2016 Jasmina Anema Youth Award Recipients.

Newark, NJ, March 04, 2016 --( The Black Cotton Foundation announced today that 9 year old twin sisters, Anais and Mirabelle Lee, will be the recipients of its 2016 Jasmina Anema Youth Award. The Jasmina Anema Youth Award is given to an extraordinary young person(s) that goes above and beyond to improve society's quality of life and community. It is a very special award that serves to recognize the best of our youth, while motivating others to believe in and achieve their dreams.

Anais and Mirabelle have such extensive and impressive resumes at such an early age. The Philadelphia natives are professional models, actors, dancers, and performers who've been featured in major ads for retailers such as Toys R Us, David's Bridal, Club Med, Saks Fifth Avenue, and QVC, to name a few. They've also starred in movies, and appeared on many commercials and television shows, including Madam Secretary, The Following, the Stephen Colbert Show, and Live with Kelly and Michael. They can also be seen gracing many catwalks, most recently walking the runway for Converse and Nike in New York Fashion Week. Though they have extremely busy schedules, Anais and Mirabelle still make time for philanthropic ventures, recently partnering with the Black Cotton Foundation and its partner, Purple R.E.I.G.N. Social Services, bringing much-needed joy and clothing to families at Wynona's House in Newark, NJ. The girls volunteer their time in a program called "Bernard's Buddies" where they pair up with an autistic child and help him/her navigate academically and socially in school. When not acting or modeling, they feed the homeless, collect toys to donate for Toys for Tots and donate pet food and supplies to their local animal shelter.

"The Black Cotton Foundation is extremely excited to have Anais and Mirabelle accept our Jasmina Anema Youth Award this year," says Black Cotton Foundation's Founder and President Raheim Singleton. "After spending some time with them in January, I realized that they have a sincere desire to be a positive light in our society, and they want to make a difference. They have such beautiful spirits and bring a much-needed jolt to our organization. We are proud to have them as part of the Black Cotton Foundation family and as part of Jasmina's legacy. It is a great day for our organization and the Anema family."

The twin sisters will be presented with this award during an award ceremony—turned fashion and talent show—later this year.
