An emotional virtual reality.

Byline: The Sims 4 (PC) By Cheryl Mullin Games Reviewer

SUCH is the rich world that The Sims have been prospering in with recent releases, perhaps the only place left for the franchise to go is into their heads.

So, new to the series, your Sims now display a staggering range of emotions that influence the decisions you'll take in the game. And we're not just talking about "I'm hungry" or "I need the loo".

The emotions give you new choices that impact your Sims and shape their stories, as you control the brain, corpus, and now the heart. The Sims you generate are full of life and are defined by, among other things, their unique personalities. The improved AI is brilliant, alongside some superb graphical presentation and it feels like a hefty step forward for a series that already delights those desperate to live in a virtual world.

RATING: 8/10 BARGAIN BUY: PS26.90 from www.cdkeys.com METRO REDUX PS4, PC, XBOX One WHO'D have thought that a post-apocalyptic Moscow could be so captivating in this double bundle of PS4 shooter action? It's 2034 and, beneath the rubble, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of our species are besieged by deadly threats.

Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.

But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are engaged in a struggle for the ultimate power; a doomsday device from the military vaults that could hold the key to our survival.

Here, the drama of the excellent storyline is mirrored by the gloriously gloomy atmosphere.

And, though this is a regular shooter at its core, the superior narrative, superb stealth mechanics and super-tight controls all contribute to deliver two games that prove a Metro reboot in the shape of Redux has been a PS4 journey worth taking. RATING: 9/10 ALONE iOS WE'VE had a spate of mobile endless runners, and now you can switch the flappy wings for a forcefully thrusting space craft destined for an unknown endpoint you must try.

There are no upgrades to aid your progress, so be prepared for a little frustration along the way. But that small indicator on the bottom of the screen, showing when you're close to beating your best cavern cruise to date, will drive you to try again and again and...

Simplicity in controls and visual design give Alone a wonderfully polished feel, and you could find yourself coming back to this game for weeks...

This app, however, makes waking up fun - yes really.

Set the timer and when it sounds, you need to get up, out of bed and then spin around in accordance with the on-screen instructions. Only then will it shut up.
