An Post to face court.

UNDELIVERED mail could land An Post in court after more than a hundred rural homes failed to receive their letters this week.

No post was delivered to homes in Ballynew, Castlebar, Co Mayo, on Wednesday after 130 Glenisland addresses missed out on Monday.

The Consumers Association is considering prosecuting An Post under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act

The Communications Workers Union said staff shortage was behind the failure.

An Post claimed work practices must change to provide a quality service.
