An Artful Line of Time.

Art Visuals has produced and published a timeline which visualizes over 4000 years of Western art. This timeline is designed to be used in art, history or humanities courses and presents, through graphs, text and images, over fifty period and/or styles of art from the Western world. In a series of nine 27" x 13" (69 cm x 33 cm) panels, which can be used independently or sequenced to form a twenty foot "line," over forty centuries of art are outlined and illustrated in chronological order. They include graphs depicting lengths of styles, major events in world history, images of art exemplars of given centuries and locals, and explanatory texts.

This unique instructional resource can be used at all levels of instruction, from primary grades through university courses. It can be used many ways: as a chronology, as a stylistic reference, as a media-centered technical exposition, for interdisciplinary studies, and as a motivational source for the study of art history. The timeline panels are relatively inexpensive--$30.00 plus a $2.50 shipping charge--and can be purchased on a heavy, laminated paper for an additional $10.00. The Visual Arts Timeline is a most unique and usable teaching aid that is highly recommended for all grades. For orders or further information, write: Art Visuals, P.O. Box 925, Orem, UT 84059.
