Americas tower plans opening

The construction of the Americas Tower is back on track and heading towards a gala opening early next year. A spokesman for KGA&A Corp. said the opening will coincide with parent company Kumagai Gumi's 10th Anniversary in New York City.

A team of experts has bee set up to oversee the final stages of construction on the rose-colored, granite-clad tower, and to begin the operation and the leasing as well. A leasing agent should be chosen by July, the spokesman said.

KGA&A Corp. is now the sole owner of Americas Tower, a 48-story, high-tech building, which began as a Kumagai Gumi venture with New York Land Company.
