American Quantum Cycles Inc. Strengthens Its Management Team.

MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 1997--American Quantum Cycles Inc. (Nasdaq OTC:AMQC) Tuesday announced that it has appointed a new chairman and CEO and a director of finance.

Effective Nov. 1, 1997, the board of directors elected Richard K. Hagen to the position of chief executive officer and chairman of the board. A 1980 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Hagen brings a proven track record of exceeding financial goals and has taken a number of operating divisions/companies through dramatic growth phases.

Hagen has a strong background in managing high tech organizations with experience as operating officer and general manager (1990-1994) at Syscon Services, an engineering services and systems integration subsidiary of Harnischfeger Industries. Hagen also has unique experience in leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as electronic commerce, supply chain management, intranet and extranets through the MARKTECH Group Inc., an Internet consulting and an Internet/extranet company he founded and ran (1995-1997).

On Oct. 20, 1997, Linda Lee Condon joined the staff of AMQC as the director of finance. Condon brings to AMQC almost 30 years of accounting and finance experience in a variety of organizations and environments. Beginning in the early 70's she worked on the consolidation of direct operations regional offices for Exxon before assuming a supervisory position in one of the regional offices.

During the 80's her direct employment and consulting assignments included managing expansion for an export company and a manufacturing firm, as well as work for a large non-profit organization, all in New Jersey. While a member of Accountants for the Public Interest during most of the 80's, Condon served on the New Jersey sections conference committee.

She comes to AMQC having spent the last five years in public accounting firms in Salt Lake City.

Robert L. Guess, president of AMQC, stated: "Hagen will give American Quantum Cycles the leadership it needs to move forward as a major force in the heavy cruiser motorcycle market. Hagen's experience includes attracting top management personnel to fill key roles on the management team, and we're happy to have him leading the way. Condon has already implemented a number of financial policies that have enabled us to better manage our resources. Her strong accounting experience makes her a valued addition to the management team."

Hagen, CEO, stated: "We will continue to seek highly qualified individuals from within the motorcycle industry as they are needed. Our current task is to let the world know that our state of the art motorcycle, the Q2, is available and that we are seeking qualified dealers. This is an exciting company with tremendous potential, and I am glad to be part of the American Quantum Team."

AMQC is currently in production and is accepting qualified dealer applications.

American Quantum Cycles manufacture premium quality, high performance cruising motorcycles. AMQC motorcycles feature fully balanced internal components utilizing space age materials, which set new standards in power, smoothness and reliability.
