American Lawyer Media intros "GC Mid-Atlantic" for in-house lawyers.

American Lawyer Media (ALM; New York), the producer of 27 national and regional legal magazines and newspapers, will begin the publication of GC Mid-Atlantic (Philadelphia, PA) magazine with an issue in early 2004. The new quarterly is targeted to chief legal officers and in-house attorneys in the region. It will have an initial circulation of 15,000 professionals in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. The launch joins GC South and CC New England, both introduced by ALM in 2003.

The title will be distributed on a controlled basis to members of regional associations, corporate counsel at companies in the target area and to subscribers of ALM products in the region, including The Legal Intelligencer, Pennsylvania Law Weekly and Delaware Law Weekly. ALM said the title will provide coverage of cases that impact companies, information on the people and personalities from the area's corporate legal departments and articles on a range of issues affecting. corporate legal deparments.

The first issue includes a feature story on diversity efforts within legal departments at major local corporations, a report on the increase in the number of women running corporate legal departments, a review of upcoming Supreme Court cases of intrest to corporations, an update on new state bar policies on limited-purpose law licensing and an interview with Oxford Development's general counsel.
