American International to Rename Product Line.

ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1999--To avoid further confusion in the removable media storage marketplace, and in particular to those storage products which attach to the AS/400, American International (Ai) is changing the name of its newest promotion, MagStar Lite, to Mammoth Solution Pak.

Following the introduction of this promotion, Ai discovered that it had created confusion with its use of IBM's registered trademark Magstar(R), which is attributed to IBM's popular family of Magstar tape drives and library solutions, including those for the AS/400.

To further clarify the previous news release, Ai and Ai products have no association with IBM Magstar 3590 Tape Subsystem or IBM Magstar MP 3570 or 3575 Tape Subsystems. Rather, the Mammoth Solution Pak incorporates dual Mammoth 8mm tape drives in a dual-port design package that also includes Ai's AutoBahn(TM)/400 concurrent backup software and three-year maintenance.
