American Hospital supports UAE charity Operation Smile UAE charity.

Dubai: As part of its Ramadan Programme 2012, the American Hospital Dubai has pledged support to Operation Smile, the UAE charity that provides free surgeries to correct cleft palate or facial disfigurements in children.

The charity recently held an iftar for 500 people, sponsored by the hospital, at the Jumeirah Mosque to help raise money for corrective surgeries. Since its inception in 1982, the charity has provided more than 200,000 free surgeries to children and young adults around the world and over two million comprehensive healthcare evaluations.
