American Craft Brewing International To Open Micro-Brewery in Peoples Republic of China

Shanghai's First Micro-brewery Will Produce Beers and Ales for Major

Entertainment Complex as well as Supermarkets and Convenience Stores

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- American Craft Brewing International Limited (Nasdaq: ABREF; ABRWF) (AmBrew International) announced today that it will open a micro-brewery in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China; pursuant to which it has signed a letter of intent with United Restaurants of Gallery, owner-operator of a major entertainment and restaurant Complex in Shanghai.

The new micro-brewery will be located adjacent to the center-city Complex, whose five floors include five international-style restaurants and a world-class nightclub. Approximately half of the micro-brewery's production will be allocated to the entertainment and restaurant Complex; with the remaining production marketed to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores within greater Shanghai.

The Shanghai micro-brewery also will export selected products to the United States where they will be nationally distributed by AmBrew International's subsidiary Atlantis Import Company, Inc.

"AmBrew International's focus on overseas markets," states James L. Ake, Executive Vice President and COO, "derives from the fact that the significant growth of micro-brewing in the U.S. has yet to spread to most other parts of the world. Indeed, with the opening of our South China Brewing Company in Hong Kong in June 1995, we literally established the first American-equipped micro-brewery outside the United States."

Adds Mr. Ake: "We currently have on order equipment that will enable AmBrew International to open up to 20 micro-breweries abroad over the next 25 months -- each producing high-quality, unique, flavorful beers that are fresh and preservative-free and literally hand-crafted to appeal to both local tastes and local pride."

Each micro-brewery will operate as a Company-owned subsidiary, or as a majority-owned or otherwise controlled joint-venture with strategic local partners.

Micro-breweries -- as distinguished from traditional industrial-scale breweries, and brew pubs which feature food as well as beer -- are defined as producing less than 15,000 barrels per year of hand-crafted beers in a variety of styles, and generally available in both bottles and kegs.
