Burger King(R) Customers Will Be Eligible to Win Exciting Prizes

by Registering Exclusively Through the AOL Mexico Portal

Underscores AOL Latin America's Focus on Developing Targeted

Marketing Initiatives

America Online Latin America, Inc. (Nasdaq:AOLA), one of the leading interactive services providers in Latin America, today announced a new marketing agreement among its Mexican subsidiary, AOL Mexico, S. De R.L. De C.V., Burger King Corporation and Warner Music Mexico, S.A. The agreement calls for the creation of an AOL Burger King loyalty program in which Burger King(R) customers can register to win fabulous prizes exclusively through the AOL Mexico portal.

This marketing initiative marks a first for AOL Latin America and Burger King to jointly target important segments of their consumer markets using an exciting online promotional campaign. Burger King customers will be eligible to win such prizes as a trip for two to Spain to attend a concert with the popular Spanish band "Hombres G", and visit backstage with the artists. Other prizes include having a private dinner with band members as well as personally autographed CD albums. This special promotion is a collective effort of AOL Latin America, Burger King Corporation, and Warner Music Latin America. It is an example of a coordinated joint marketing and cross-media campaign, which will include TV, radio, Internet, and restaurant point-of-sale (POS) advertising, leveraging these highly recognized brands.

As the first of a series of promotions to run over a six-month period, this special campaign will run for six weeks during which Internet users will be able to register exclusively through the AOL Mexico portal or through specially designed software CD's distributed in participating Burger King(R) restaurants in Mexico. AOL Mexico has created a special "AOL-Burger King " area in its portal with interesting and entertaining information on the promotion and other topics. During the first month of the promotion, on-site promoters will be available in several key selected restaurants to demonstrate the exciting features that will be available on the Burger King loyalty program section of the portal and to actively promote the registration of new AOL Mexico members.
