Amended PPRA rules 2010 notified.

KARACHI, March 10, 2010 (Balochistan Times): The Services, General Administration & Coordination Department has notified the Sindh Public Procurement Rules, 2010 after approval of Chief Minister Sindh. These Rules would replace the Public Procurement Rules, 2004, which were promulgated by the Federal Government on June 9, 2004 and adopted by Sindh Government on November 1, 2006. Henceforth, all public procurements in the Government of Sindh shall be governed under the new Rules. Sindh is the first province to promulgate Public Procurement Act, which was approved by Provincial Assembly on April 17, 2009. The salient feature of the new Rules include addition of definition of important terms, revision of financial limits for advertisement in print media, introduction of an independent two-tier grievance redressal mechanism, publication of contract award, de-briefing, procurement of consulting services and procurement for public private partnership projects, In addition to the introduction of new rules, the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority has been placed under the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department through an amendment in the Sindh Government Rules of Business, 1980.
