Amateur video claims to show shelling of Homs in Syria.
Videos posted on the internet claim to show shelling and fighting in Homs as rebels say that forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad are carrying out counter-offensives in various parts of Syria.
In one video heavy, gunfire can be heard in what is said to be clashes between Free Syrian Army fighters and Assad forces in Khalidiyah in Homs, with a second video showing the area coming under shellfire.
Heavy fighting broke out in the city between loyalist forces and opposition brigades dug in, in preparation for an onslaught.
Another video appears to show a rebel tank being attacked in Al-Qarabis in Homs.
A video which is again said to be filmed in Homs shows what appear to be dead soldiers lying on the ground with a man in the film claiming they were pro Assad militias killed sneaking into the city.
Opposition campaigners believe the counter-offensive is part of a new strategy aimed at regaining three rebel-held regions that pose a threat to Assad's grip on the capital Damascus and his supply lines from the coast.
