Palm has unveiled its newest product in the quest for mobile connectivity: the Palm i705 (www.palm.com). The 5.9 ounce device comes with 8MB of RAM (4MB of ROM)and runs on the Dragonball VZ 33 processor. Running on the Palm OS 4.1, the device promises secure wireless e-mail and Internet connection, and automatic notification of incoming e-mail by sound, flashing light, or vibration. Priced at $449, the i705 also features a monochrome display and a SecureDigital MultiMedia Card expansion slot.
